Privacy Policy
X Bookmark Exporter is a Chrome extension that exports your X (Twitter) bookmarks to a local JSON file. Your privacy is important to us — this policy explains exactly what data the extension accesses and how it is used.
The extension reads two cookies from x.com — ct0 (a CSRF token) and twid (your numeric account ID) — solely to authenticate requests to x.com on your behalf. This replicates the same mechanism x.com uses internally. These values are never transmitted to our servers, never stored beyond the active export session, and are only accessed when you explicitly click "Export Bookmarks."
The extension reads your X bookmarks at your explicit request. This data is saved directly to your device as a JSON file. It is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
If you purchase a license, your license key is stored locally in Chrome's storage on your device. It is transmitted only to api.polar.sh for validation purposes. We do not store or log license keys on our own servers.
We do not collect, store, or transmit your name, email address, location, browsing history, financial information, or any other personal data. All bookmark data stays on your device.
License purchases and validation are handled by Polar.sh. Please refer to their privacy policy for details on how they handle payment and license data. We have no access to your payment information.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
